100% of trustees have completed required orientation per Section 59-19-45.

Pursuant to the Meyer Center for Special Children By-laws Section 3.3 (d), “at least fifty percent of the Directors shall be elected by the Charter School employees and the parents or guardians of students enrolled in the Charter School (the “School Electors”) as set forth below in Section 3.4, “Charter School Elections.”  Parents or guardians shall have one vote for each student enrolled in the Charter School.”

 The following candidates are recommended by the Meyer Center Board of Directors:

 Additional candidates may be proposed by school electors by emailing the proposed candidate’s name and bio to Meta Hendricks at mhendricks@meyercenter.org, no later than September 30, 2025 at 12:00pm. The full list of candidates will be announced at a public meeting on September 30, 2025 at 6:00pm.

 The election will take place on October 15, 2025. Parents or guardians will be emailed a ballot, together, shall have one vote for each student enrolled in the Charter School. Election results will be posted: (i) the Charter School Office’s bulletin board, and (ii) the internet, such the Charter School’s website or social media page.

Public Comments

The official meeting of the Board is by law a public meeting, and the Board values citizen input; however, in order to protect the integrity of the adopted agenda, the public dialogue will be restricted to the 'Public Comments' section of the agenda or as directed by the Board chairman.

• Each speaker has two minutes.

• Speakers may not ask Board Members questions.

• Board Members may not engage speakers in discussion.

• Disruptive behavior is not permitted.

• Personal attacks aimed at students or staff are not permitted.

• Scurrilous, obscene, or recklessly defamatory language aimed at any Board Member is not permitted.
