Therapy Services

Overview of Services

Prior to entering the Early Childhood Education Program, each child undergoes a screening and evaluation conducted by Meyer Center therapists and a teacher to determine program eligibility. Specific admission criterion is based on the need for at least two therapies (occupational, physical, speech) and one of the following special education classifications:

  • Mental Disability
  • Developmental Delay
  • Speech/Language Impairment
  • Orthopedic Impairment
  • Other Health Impairment
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Multiple Disabilities

Students enrolled on a full-time basis receive therapy in each discipline 2-3 times per week on average. After school therapy is offered on a space-available basis for students who are not enrolled at the Center.
