Meyer Center student Anna with her Mom

Anna has made so much progress since attending the Meyer Center! And I have found many wonderful people who are willing to take my hand and join me in our journey, all the while offering a smile and a word of hope. The staff, teachers, and therapists are so much more than workers. They have become family.

Lily Shusterman, Meyer Center student, and her MomThe simplest tasks for typical children and families become mountains to climb for the special needs child. The Meyer Center staff recognizes these challenges. Together the teachers, therapists, and the administration bring a wealth of individual and collective experience to assist each child and family on their particular journey. They work together to ensure that every child has a cohesive, stimulating, and practical educational and therapeutic program.

We came to the Meyer Center at the recommendation of our developmental pediatrician.  Our son, Cullen, then 17 months old, was developmentally delayed and non-verbal.  From the moment we arrived, we had a peace about where we were and hope in a time of difficulty. Finally, our son could enjoy preschool and receive therapy services while he was at school. Finally, our family did not spend precious family time running around town seeking services here and there. Finally, our sweet son was able to learn to communicate and ride a bike, as well as practice his new skills in class amongst his peers, all the while receiving encouragement from his teachers. We have recommended the Meyer Center more times than I can count and spent many hours advocating for the school we so love.
