“Kids Classic” Golf Tournament

Kids Classic Tournament Logo

The Meyer Center's 24th Annual Kids Classic golf tournament will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Green Valley Country Club and Furman University Golf Course.

Proceeds will benefit the Meyer Center's education and therapy program, helping to change the lives of our community's special-needs children.

The format will be 9 holes each of Better Ball and Captain's Choice in the morning, and Scottish Match (Modified Alternate Shot) after lunch. Cost is $300 per player.  Sponsorship at the $1000 level and up includes player participation.  Course choice is available to sponsors first, and to other paid players on a first come, first-served basis.

The VIP Party, a "sponsor and player only" opportunity you won't want to miss.  Hosted by Larkin's Sawmill at North Main on Tuesday, May 1, this fun party will feature live entertainment, dancing, great food and spirits, and a live and silent auction.

Superticket Allows Participation in Course Games

Our new “superticket,” entitles each player to participate in numerous contests, and off the course, including hole-in-one on all par 3’s (to win a Mercedes lease, trips, and other prizes); putting contest; closest-to the pin on all par 3’s; chipping contest; and straightest drive (closest to line).  Multiple door prizes will also be awarded. Players may purchase the superticket for $50 at check-in or with their registration.

Player Gift:  $100 FootJoy Gift Card

This year’s player gift is one that everyone will love — a $100 gift card to FootJoy, a premier manufacturer of golf attire.  A FootJoy rep will be present at Green Valley Clubhouse from 2:00 p.m. until close of the tournament. Players may select from an impressive assortment of Footjoy merchandise, from head to toe, or may place an order for the item(s) of their choice to be mailed to them.

Helicopter Ball Drop

The event will conclude with a helicopter "ball drop" at Green Valley Country Club. The owner of the ball falling in or closest to the hole will win $1000!   Entry is $10 per ball. The tournament sells out early, so register online now.
